... So far

Happy New Years everyone!

2012 was a year of torment for me. There were so many bad vibes. So the following year( which was 2013), I decided to make a wishlist. The list consists of things I want to experience that I wasn't able to do in the previous year. But since this year is ending, ( which was quite fast), I am going to comment on each of these items one by one. So here are the things that I had planned for the year 2013: Done and Undone.

Legend:

- Items which are not in red and not crossed out: UNDONE

- Items which are in red and crossed out: DONE

--------------------------------------------------

2013 WISHLIST:

1* Will cosplay more

- I’ve realized that I’ve been skipping cosplay events here and there because either I’m too busy working or I didn’t have the moolah for it. (´∩`。)

MY SAY: I wasn't able to cosplay more because of work, not having much time for it and also, I resigned from my job in March 2013 so there wasn't any source of income for expenditures. And for some reason, every cosplay event is held on a Saturday, and I have work on Saturdays so no can do. I can't file a leave whenever there is an event. That would leave me definitely penniless. And also, I had to focus on my review lessons.  :( I was only able to cosplay twice this year as Trucy Wright from Ace Attorney and Marceline from Adventure Time.

2* DSLR
- I know this behbeh is like one of my greatest dreams everrrrr since the year 2011. I just want to appreciate the sceneries around me and catch its breath-taking view in a photograph.

MY SAY: And finally, I bought one with my own savings. It's a Canon Rebel T3. And I have this habit of naming things so I named this baby of mine " Rebel" ( Well, obviously? ).

3* more photoshoots

- I didn’t get to do photoshoots lately. Same reason as what I gave in number 1. And my photographer friends also have their own agendas. (´Д`。)

MY SAY: No time for photoshoots. :( There were so many photoshoot opportunities but I declined because of schedule conflicts. Didn't have much time.

4* will have more adventures with friends ♥
- I’ve been neglecting my friends for more than one year now. From the month of April 2011 to July 2012. I’m going to make up the lost time I have with them. They have been there for me through my thicks and thins, now it’s my turn. (*≧▽≦)

MY SAY: This year was filled with rainbows and butterflies and star dusts born from friendship. Had made so many memories with my oh-so-crazy gang and is hoping to make more of it in the upcoming year.

5* will look the best everyday

- People are telling me to lose my previous wardrobe and wear something daring. DARING: like wearing dresses and brag about them legs. Haha. They told me to show more of my skin. I .WILL .TRY. Haha.

MY SAY: There was a time wherein I had a drastic change of wardrobe but there was this one point, I became too lazy to play dress up and decided to be the " old and simple" Mau again. Jeans, blouses and shirts were usually my fashion picks for this year.

6* will collect more frogs

- My collection of frogs is not enough. I have to collect more and more frogs. Those cute little things – I NEED. ♥ Why am I born this way!? But hey, that doesn’t stop me from collecting more this year. ♥♥♥

MY SAY: Friends have been spoiling me with frogs. So many frogs. My room is just filled with them. Yeah. Frogs. <3

7* Iphone

- Haha. I know this seems impossible but nothing’s impossible without you trying it. So yeah, I am aiming for this baby.

MY SAY: Well, not exactly an Iphone. Instead, an Android phone. Didn't even know the difference between an Iphone and an Android Phone. Lol! Seriously. I thought you consider an Iphone an Android phone because they're ...like... similar. Now leave me in my endless misery. illOTL

8* Instagram and the wonders of 3G

- So yeah. One of the main reasons why I am craving for an Iphone is Instagram. Haha. I know it’s soooooooooo stupid, but I’m a girl, and I have my wants. Haha.

MY SAY: I know my reasons are a bit too immature for your liking, and I just can't explain it, but I wanted to try out instagram. So one of the reasons why I wanted an Iphone is, yeap, an Instagram. Instagram. You know, the cliche's of instagramming the instagramambles. Lol!

9* will do more art

- was too busy working and didn’t have the time to draw more of my mangas. I need to do artsy stuff once again. Otherwise, my drawing skills will *poooooof* if you get what I mean. >///< I wouldn’t like that to happen.

MY SAY: A 50:50 for this one. I had author's blocks which were really really bad. Only got to finish one chapter of my manga for this year. :( So sad. I am losing my artsy skills as we know it. Ugh!

10* will practice playing my bass guitar and have more gigs with my band

- Since I am in love with my bass guitar and I love performing songs as a bassist, I decided to put this in my list. I want to enhance my skills of playing the bass guitar with my band.  And to do more gigs is one of the ways to enhance it.

MY SAY: Didn't get to play my bass guitar at all. AT ALL. My bass guitar skills are getting a bit rusty. Tch. There weren't any opportunities to perform.

11* be more responsible of myself and independent
- Mom is telling me that I’m not responsible enough to do this and that. I’m going to prove her wrong. – I hope – Haha. And being independent is one way to be more responsible of yourself.

MY SAY: Let's just say I have been responsible of myself and independent because my mom would allow me to go out late at night now. Without the nagging, of course.

12* will spend money every other day

- Since I want this and that, Haha. I will TRY to save more and spend less. This I have to endure. And insert the word “diet” here.

MY SAY: Since I got to buy myself a DSLR and some bad ass awesome lens, why thank you number 12.

13* will expand my circle of friends

- Since I am welcoming the year 2013 with good vibes, I also have to welcome new people in my life. I have decided to expand my circle of friends. As they always say, the more the merrier.
MY SAY: Like seriously, 2013 was "new-friends" year for me. Was able to meet new people and become friends with them. Friendship is such a wonderful thing. It gives you so much strength and happiness.

14* will blog about useful things

- I’m going to blog about food, restaurants, places, experiences, any hows and any whats, and all the et ceteras in the world. This wouldn’t only be about ME anymore.

MY SAY: Been blogging about food, restaurants, places, experiences, any hows and any whats ( I forgot what I meant by that; it has been a year) and all the et ceteras in the world, and of course, will continue blogging as I should.

15* will officially study the Japanese language

- Since I am surrounded by my beloved beloved Japan-related work, it makes teaching easier. I am officially going to enroll in a Japanese language school to learn more about the grammar and the different phonetics. And especially their writings. (;*△*;)

MY SAY: Studying the Japanese language requires a lot of money. And time. But definitely, the money man.

16* will lose some extra pounds

- I know losing some weight is impossible for a sickly girl like me but I have to surpass the limits of my condition. And this is a must for me. Whew. Gotta lay down on the carbs.

MY SAY: GAIN is more like it! Since I was jobless for a moment, my daily routines were sleep, eat, use the laptop or the personal computer, play games, draw, think about life and its mysteries and eat again. Not to mention, today we are spending the Christmas holidays so there is food everywhere ( a Filipino custom). So yeah, gave up on that one.

17 * WILL PLAY MOAAAARRRR GAMESSSSS ♥

- I’d rather waste my time and money to games. Fatal Frame was the first game that I was so into. And the second one is Assassin’s Creed. I wonder what unlucky game out there would be my next target. Kufufufufu~ >:D

MY SAY: Was able to play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, AC III, Hmmmm. I forgot the others. Will update this later.

18 * will discover more awesome songs with awesome messages

- I know I’m a music girl. And I’m not into disco songs or so whatever, I’m into songs that brings out a certain message. For example, Better than Me by Hinder, or More than This by OneDand Wedding Dress by Teayang and so on and so forth. Since 2013 is a new year, I’m sure there are bound to be awesome songs to be made. And I can’t wait to meet em’. Listen, rather.

MY SAY: Yes, so many awesome songs for this year such as Just Give Me A Reason by Pink, Let It Go by Idina Menzel, Why Don't You Love Me by Hot Chelle ft. Demi Lovato, Unconditionally and Roar by Katy Perry, Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus and many many more.

19* will travel to different places in the Philippines with friends

- My friends and I are planning to go out this summer for our team building. Haha. And out, I mean OUT. Boracay, Bohol, Ilo-ilo, Cagayan and et cetera et cetera. Most of my friends are going to bring their hubbies with them. And I’m going to bring out Forever Alone Meme with me as a date.

MY SAY: Been to different places like Camotes Island and Oslob WITH friends. And it's a miracle. My parents would usually say NO. *insert cat NO grumpy face meme here* and just lecture me away regarding the dangers of going to places you barely know. But ohhh, not this time!

20* will TRY to wear a bikini this summer Hahah
- Don’t laugh. Don’t smile. This is also a dream I am trying to accomplish. Thus, number 16. ( ̄へ ̄)
MY SAY:  Was still in the verge of sanity when I had the guts to wear a two piece in April 2013. I was so confident back then. Where have you gone now, confidence!?

21* will meet someone *winks* ♥ ( cheesy alert)
- People come and go. Year 2012 was a year of suffering for me. Shed too many tears, lost people and the most difficult thing to do was to slowly close the book. I am sure that, since I am welcoming 2013 with good vibes, I’m sure good vibes will come. And I am also sure I am going to meet that certain someone this year. ♥
MY SAY: Honestly, I never expected this would happen. When I was writing the above post,  it was just for the sake of ... uh... writing. But look at me now, oh so in love with my hyperactive boyfriend. We started out as strangers, then became awkward-bickermates, then friends, to crushes and then to lovers. The world is beautiful. ♥
My MOTTO back in 2013:

” Welcome the world with good vibes”

-------------------------------------------------------

So this sums it up. As you can see, so much red. :D 2013 was memorable and oh-so-good. I realized when you face life in positivity, good things DO happen. Better, even.

P.S. I am so blessed this year. I love you Dear Father. Thank you for letting me pass the board exam on my first take. Without you, everything wouldn't be possible.

And once again,

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!

Construction!

Okay, just to clear things out: this blog is UNDER CONSTRUCTION. The template and the layout are not yet finalized and I'm currently on the process of doing so. I am not really that much of a computer savvy to make my own blogger template so I have to surf the net for one. After searching the wonders of Google, one of the designs of Sweet Daisy absolutely caught my eye. It is cute and elegant but I am going to surprise you guys which one though so I have to keep my mouth shut for now.

After I am going to get my template done, it will be on to the domain name! Lol! I realized when you love blogging so much, you have to invest. Definitely lots of investments. And after all those are done, definitely on to exploring the mysteries of bloggerdotcom. As you all guys know, I have been exploring and transferring from one blogging site to another in search of one that suits my taste. And definitely, ( and FINALLY), I have found one. And thus, THIS.

You guys have to wait for a month or two for my blog site to be finished. I also gave my two previous blogging sites three months for my readers to actually absorb the sad news of me transferring.  ( Again, that is!)

I just created this short blog post to enlighten you guys up. I know my current blog site is... hmmm.. what's the word... dirty? Haha. Screw it. Once I finalized things up, everything will be okay. But for now, please bear with it. :)

Sam The Lens!

And YES! I finally bought my oh-so-awesome lens! It takes very sharp pictures and the bokeh is just so wonderful. I could just keep shooting random people and things forever. Here are the shots from my oh-so-superb lens. And yeah, I named my lens, SAM. So don't wonder if I treat Sam as a person. Oh by the way, she's a girl.

A little bit of awkwardness

Well, I started blogging back in August 2012 and I am reintroducing myself which is a little bit awkward. I still remember my first blog post about how I wanted to become a photographer. That was my first blog post ever.

I didn't start off here on blogspot, but somewhere else. I started blogging on this site: blog.com and then this site: wordpress.com. :T and then tadaaaa: here I am.

I had fun importing and exporting posts as we know it. Blog site is still under construction.

This is a short post so Ciao.

:D

Hi!

Hello guys. After a very long hiatus, I’m finally back in blog.com. As you all know, this blog has been off the hoops. Meaning, it has been silent for a while. Don’t blame me though. All I wanted was justuptime,  if you know what I mean. I have been trying out blog sites here and there and has also been exploring their different features. I want to blog freely you know. No strings attached or whatsoever. No fixed templates and themes. I want to arrange my blog’s layout the way I want it. Gahd! I am so rebellious. Blogging is my way of life. ( Haha That was too exaggerating of me).
Anyway, I might delete this blog after I’ve exported out some of my original posts. This blog has held most of my memories and I am about to throw all of them away. JK aside. I am transferring domains. Haha.
I might put my final say on my blog after I’ve finally settled down on my own domain.
Anyway, this is a short post so this will have to do for now. Ciao!

{ Nine Mornings}

For Roman Catholics, it has always been a practice to celebrate mass in the wee hours of dawn consecutively for nine days before Christmas. It is known as " Simbang Gabi". According to Wikipedia, it is a devotional nine-day series of Masses by Roman Catholics and Aglipayans in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary in anticipation of Christmas. Simbang Gabi is composed of two Tagalog words namely simba and gabi. " Simba" means "mass" and "gabi" means "night" in Filipino. From those two words, you can simply picture out Filipinos celebrating mass at dawn which has the same darkness that of the night.

Simbang Gabi is usually held from December 16 to December 24. It may start from 3 to 5 o'clock in the morning usually held in every Roman Catholic church. The last day of the SimbangGabi, which is Christmas Eve, is called "Misa de Gallo", which literally means "Rooster's Mass". Wondering why it's called as Rooster's Mass? Usually we hear a rooster crow at dawn, mostly from the country side in most countries. But since Philippines is a very agricultural country, a rooster's crow is common at dawn. Thus, the name.

This goes back from the Spanish Era when Philippines was still under the Spanish colony in the early 1500's. The original tradition has novenas and singing before the mass begins. From this popular Nine Mornings, festivities emerged and many people participated; families and friends gather in church to celebrate the coming of Jesus Christ. This is an annual event for Roman Catholics and is a cherished and practiced Christmas custom which eventually became a distinct feature of Philippine culture and a symbol of sharing.

There are hundreds and thousands of people who are willing to wake up early and attend the mass. It gives hope, happiness and strength to each and one of them. This is really a good occasion to show that the church is mainly the people of God.Even two little kids managed to wake up early morning to hear mass. They didn't mind the time as long as they can witness and experience the said event. They are so proud to be a part of it. There is a belief that if you complete the nine mornings, God will grany any wish you like.

Years ago when Spaniards came to the Philippines and colonized the country, they brought with them Christianity."Simbáng Gabi" has become a form of socialization for Filipinos.

After the mass, churchgoers are also in for a food trip. Buying and eating well-known local delicacies, such as bibingka, suman, puto bungbong, salabat and hot chocolate in the vicinity of the church are very popular among Filipinos.

Filipinos are also known to celebrate the longest Christmas season in the world from the month of September until early January. Filipinos working abroad would come home to celebrate Christmas and New Yearswith their families. "There is no place like home." as an OFW says. So try to visit the Philippines to experience this known tradition and be a part of it. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

She tries to blog!

Happy Holidays everyone! How was your Christmas? Are you enjoying the still coldness of the air and the jolly good ol' yuletide season? I am currently listening to the movie Frozen's soundtracks while making this blog. It currently matches the Christmas feel and enlightens my mood to blog ( I have serious blog mood fluctuations). Anyway, before I feature the last Filipino personal style blogger for today, let's have a recap on the four bloggers, shall we?

She has thirsty thoughts!

Okay, I bet you guys are getting impatient for our next featured Filipina blogger. I've been busy with work lately and especially, with the parties. December is the last month of the year, but it is also my busiest month. There are lots of parties. LOTS; Birthday and Christmas parties alike. Plus, work and social life has taken most of my time so I apologize for this late post.

Shine Bright Like A Starr

From what I mentioned earlier from my previous blog post about me having a very sexy thing for portraits, today’s feature would be on my second photography project.

Two of Us

What do you get when you suddenly change hobbies? Other than ideas on telling yourself to get better on that certain field, there are certain sacrifices that have to be made. I'm a cosplayer (was...uh... I don't know) and my last cosplay was still back in March this year, and take this, think about the months of hiatus. People have been telling me on Facebook that they haven’t seen me in the cosplay community. For that, I can give you two reasons. First, for some reason, every single event is held on a Saturday. And I have work on Saturdays so no can do. I just can’t file a leave whenever there is an event. That would leave me penniless. Lol! Second, I don’t have the resources to cosplay ( money, time, etc.).  Whether I like it or not, these are inevitable. Despite the reasons in my list, I am only going to give you two. Other reasons, well, may be a bit too personal.

She breaks styles!

My knees are killing me at this moment. I am so tired from all the grinding and the dancing when my friends and I went clubbing last night. I went home approximately 1 in the morning and I woke up at 9:45 AM. My knees are so heavy.  It feels like an aftermath after climbing a very steep mountain has just taken its toll.

Since Tricia and Cheesie are good to go, let's have the next featured blogger now, shall we?

This will be the third blogger on the list. If you are confused and is currently asking yourself, " What is she talking about?", please read here. And for those of you, who knows what exactly this is all about, please continue on.

Birthday

This is getting a habit. I've noticed I've kept on changing themes. There must be something wrong with me. Lol. I think I'd stick with spun theme. It's simple, cute and very clean. VERY. Clean. *insert poker face here* Anyway, what I love about this theme is that the featured images of the posts are the main focus. So, if you guys would check out my site, you'd easily see an update by thinking " Ooooh, I've never seen this pic before" and just click away. Lol. I'm getting random nowadays. Forgive me.

{ All Odds}

Hello guys. I decided to post my future outfit shots in a different blogging site. Meanwhile, this site is for random events and blog-worthy happenings in my life. Haha. I am so random nowadays. Anyway, I decided to do that for the sake of this being organized. Organized in a way, that I don't have to go all the trouble to filter all my posts under the category "Fashion". I also want a site wherein I don't get to mix my personal ramblings with my other categories.

The categories Photography and Fashion will be my main focus on the other blog I recently made hosted by http://wordpress.com. It is convenient for followers. It doesn't require you to sign up on Persona just to comment. It is user-friendly. ( I talk as if I'm a traitor). * If you guys know what I mean*

I'm going to buy my own domain name in wordpress and I don't even have a friggin' paypal. ;_; The odds are never in my favor. NEVER.

And yeah, tomorrow is my birthday so... expect another blog coming early.

P.S. I have a feeling I have so many grammatical errors in this post, so... screw that. Haha.

AND WORDPRESS LETS YOU UPLOAD YOUR OWN FAVICON! GET THAT! YOUR OWN FRIGGIN' FAVICON! ♥ For those who don't know what a favicon is, it is that small logo across the site's address. The " Mau" you can see above is my very own favicon! :"3
Check my wordpress blog  and of course, my favicon, here.

I already posted some fashion-related posts earlier this month. Might unless you want to check it out and all. Will be posting my outfit shots there and also my photography projects in the future.
Your RANDOM blogger,

MAU

hashtagbreakitdown

She's all cheese!

Well, I was about to prolong the wait a little bit by posting pictures of my photography projects to you guys and no, I am not the model BUT the photographer. I wanted to show you guys how much of a noobie I am when it comes to photography. And yes, welcome those hateful criticisms. Lol. But sad to say, my blog is currently on maintenance so I guess that has to wait. ( I have to copy paste ) *wink wink*

She will go places!

I can't wait to blog about my styles and fashionpicks to you guys, but sad to say, I still have to get my DSLR some sharp lenses for better photos. Besides, the idea of me posting "whole-body selfies" is absurd and is just low as a personal style blogger wanna-be. I may start posting outfit shots this January. Going to spend my Christmas bonus pay for those camera lenses I've had had my eyes on. Despite all this excitement of blogging my personal taste in fashion with you guys, I would love to entertain the wait with some personal faves of my fashion bloggers one by one. I've been a follower of their blogs ever since 2012. Since I'm from the Philippines, 4 out of 5 of my featured bloggers are Filipinos. So get ready!

Silver Linings

Okay, since I am inspired of all the selcas in the world PLUS my love for fashion bloggers and fashion itself ♥, I have decided to blog about it. Wish me luck. LOL.

I decided to give this blog the title of "Silver Linings" because I was wearing gray here. This is an old photo. This was taken on October 24, 2011.

I had two shoots on this day. A cos-shoot and a portfolio shoot. This was the first shoot.

As you can see, I had trouble thinking about what would my next pose be. Photographer Jay Crodua was teaching me his waaaaays of poses and the like, and I, on the other hand, giggled and laughed on his mimicry. Haha. Kuya Jay is the best. ♥ .

Sorry for the low-definition photos. I only used the uploaded photos on my facebook profile. And you know how facebook destroys quality (=_=) Yeah, facebook.

It was so hot, and I've got to retouch a few times just to look decent. I was perspiring. D: and yes, I know, I was definitely icky.

The said above photos were taken by a dear friend of Kuya Jay, Kuya Marky Koi. :'3

Jay Crodua and Marky Koi were the reasons for the success of this shoot. ♥

Bought the blouse from this online shop:

It is a Korean apparel. Matched with white shorts and white sandals with a 5-second quick bun and you're good to go.

Both classy and fab.

There you go for my title's origin, Silver Lining.

Till Next Blog. ♥

{ Trial and Error}

I am currently tweaking a site's features and is testing it out. I may do a little bit of trial and error, so to speak and may give it a duration of 3-4 weeks before I have my final say. I know you guys don't understand what I am talking about and I apologize, but in near time, you guys will. Eventually.

This will be a short post.

Will update this blog after all is well.

Keep smiling and keep safe, guys.

MOVED!

Okay. To start this post, I'm going to start off first with this piece of information: I'm NOT new to blogging but I'm definitely NEW to wordpress and its wonders. At first, I was kind of hesitant to move domains. Everything seems so complicated here. All these new icons and buttons, so to say. This community. And all these awesome features. (。´╹A╹`。)

Please be good to me!

Anyway, there are... Hmm... I can't pinpoint how many reasons there are, but let's start off with the first reason I decided to move my blog to wordpress.

1.) The previous blog site that I was in, always seems to be down. And every time there are reports or complaints regarding that matter, the site's support team's response to address it is slow. Forgive me, but yes, it is slow. Sometimes, they won't even respond at all. One of the many reasons that makes a blogger stay, is all the help and support they can get. I don't know with you guys, but for me, that one factor is very important.

2.) For confidentiality reasons, let's give the previous blog site the code name: Site X. I've always wanted my own domain name. I am willing to pay the price per year. But what stopped me from doing so in Site X is the countless numbers of complaints I've read online regarding their downtime. Comments such as " I bought the $99.00 package and all I get is this downtime", " I'm wasting my money on this site. This made me regret so much." and " Warning for those bloggers who are willing to go premium, NEVER, I mean, NEVER use this site. Downtime always." Such negativity you know. Whelp.

3.) Since I've found so many good feedback regarding wordpress, so I asked myself " Why don't you just give it a try, Mau? No harm done right? " and thus, I found myself here. Before signing up, I made sure to read all the premium features this site has to offer, and oh, let's not forget all the "help and support" I can get. Also, uptime is uptime.

4.) MORE PUBLICITY. Wordpress has a community. ♥ It also has a like and follow buttons which are superb. Sorry. I'm just so new to this that this alone, made me super happy. I mean, blogging in a community. You never know who you can meet. :) Again, please be good to me wordpress community.

5.) Statistics within the site. ♥ I don't have to go all the trouble to connect to Google Analytics. Site X lets you connect to a lot of sites. A LOT of sites.

6.) This site allows you to upload a favicon. Your OWN friggin' favicon. In Site X, you still have to buy it as a feature. *sulks*

7.) Awesome themes that are FREE.

And tadaa, I think these are all it. I'm still exploring wordpress and its wonders ( this could be a good tag *wink wink*), and that concludes my first wordpress blog post.

{ My Brightest Light: In Memory of Princess Angob}

Losing someone close to you really really hurts. And I might want to express my feelings and grief onto this blog, so let me be. I am really depressed. REALLY. And every time I would think of her, it saddens me because I won't be able to see her again.

Ever... again.

One of my closest friends, Princess Angob, passed away yesterday, November 27, 2013. She left the world at a very young age. And as I would remember her, the words " hyper", "energetic", "noisy", "funny", "random", etc. and all the synonyms of those words, would pop out in my mind. She would keep things at her own pace, mostly in a bad way and it sometimes annoys and pisses me off. But that's her, and I accept her as who she is. And I definitely won't change her.

No wonder I didn't have the appetite for lunch yesterday before noon. She passed away at that time. After work, I received a text message from a friend while I was getting my things from my locker, stating " Cess is gone. :C ". I just stood there. Stunned. Shocked. In total disbelief of what I had just read. I couldn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it. I replied to the message as I hurriedly drove home. I want to see it for myself. To see is to believe, as the saying goes. As I cruised over her Facebook profile, wall posts of " R.I.P."s, " Thanks Cess for everything...", sad messages like those, consumed me. I also read a status from her brother about her passing. " Even though we've fought a lot of times, and mostly because of misunderstandings, I will always love you my little sister. R.I.P. Princess Angob". All of a sudden, a flashback of our memories together and a giant feeling of pain suddenly overwhelmed me at that instant and tears suddenly fell. I started crying. Sobbing. Calling out her name, hoping her spirit would hear me. Imagining that she's just standing there in front of me. Would see me in dismay. Letting her know how much she means to me.

We've shared problems, played countless Counter Strike games against each other, drink to our heart's content on silly matters such as love dilemmas and the like, and call each other insulting names as an endearment. But that's what our friendship was all about. It was true. It was magical. It was lovely.

She was such a strong girl. When I asked her how she's holding up when she heard the news about her illness, she answered " God has plans for me. You will always be my sweety, remember that. Don't worry. Everything's going to be alright. I'm strong just like you." What I didn't know was that ...

... those were her last words to me.

Reminiscing all the memories I have with her is all I can do now. She has gone to a place where I can't reach her. She left her family and her friends in the material world. And to where she is right now, I know she isn't suffering and is in the safest company. She is happy. With Him.

Losing her made me realize that life is easily lost. And you only get to live it once. First thing, you're hanging out with someone; laughing, having so much fun and the next thing you know, that person is gone. Just like that. In an instant. That quick. It's so painful. But what's more painful is that, she isn't there anymore. It's not like those moments wherein a person moves to another country. You'd still have means of communication, even if that person is on the other side of the world. This is different. She is permanently gone, and it breaks my heart. And as I am typing this now, I am sobbing.

My friend sent me Cess' mobile number and told me to send her my last message. She reassured me that Cess is REALLY going to read it. And so I did. Without a second thought. It is so ironic that I have so much to tell you, but life is really short. Really... really short. Remember our favorite quote: " Sweety, I'm blinded by the white light." We would say this every time you would throw a flash bomb at me in Counter Strike. Oh, those times. </3

Sweety, I really treasure our friendship. You are one of the greatest gifts that God gave me. You've let me experience new things and new feelings. I know you are in a very wonderful place right now, but I just want you to know how much you mean to me. I really really love you Sweety. If only I could feel your touch, see you smile, see you have fun while you're playing your guitar, hear you laugh and call out "Sweety" one more time... And also, would be given enough time to tell you one last message, I'd gladly accept.

If only.

Cess,

You were like a sister to me. My partner-in-crime against boys and their odds. My personal clown when I feel the blues.

And especially, you were my brightest ray of light during my darkest times.

My deepest condolences to the Angob family.

Rest in Peace, my one and only Sweety.

See you when I see you. ♥

You will be forever missed.

{ Just for the sake of it}

Okay. I just want blog.com's interface to be back to normal. -_-' It's really getting on my nerves. I know that I have a cheating way of posting new ones; but heck, I want the normal way of things.

Anyway, made this blog post just to check if photos will appear once published because as far as I can see it, it doesn't show here in the "New Post" page. I may sound like I'm ranting, and a small part of me is, and I want you to ignore that part of me. ;_; *cries in the corner*

Anyway, random photos, here goes:

These are some of my favorite shots from different photographers in deviantart.

I hope this goes published and seen.

P.S. I have an engagement shoot scheduled this December. I simply cannot wait! Yaaaaay for opportunities. :D

UPDATE: THE PHOTOS ARE THERE! Yaaaaaay!

ANOTHER UPDATE: The login interface is finally baaaaaack! ♥♥♥

{Blog.com}

I haven't been able to post anything new right now because blog.com's annoying maintenance is up again. The header interface won't let me log in. And it's been down for a week now. I just managed to post this through some cheating magic I found online from a fellow blogger.

I hope they can manage to fix this soon. I've sent this site's team a ticket regarding this matter but so far, no response.

If this keeps up, this would leave me no choice but to transfer to another blogging site. This site's server is always down. Can anyone recommend me some blogging sites that aren't always down? Lol! The one thing I love about this site is that it has only one word connected to your domain name. Ex. mausarcon.BLOG.com. Simple and short. Not like other blogging sites.

Well, I like simple and short.

So to say, to sum things up, I may be in a bit of hiatus right now because of what this site is facing. The bloggers of this site, have been complaining. LOTS. I hope this site's team would address this matter ASAP.

Mau out.

{ #YolandaPH }

This will be a quick post. Yolanda has just left the country's area of responsibility and that one line just filled the scared hearts of Filipinos with relief. Although its passing is gone, this destructive typhoon placed under Category 5, has left the country in ruins. Unlike the 7.2 magnitude earthquake last October 15, 2013; we had time to prepare for this Super Typhoon. I was thinking to myself that since we had that justified time, there will be no casualties at all but I was wrong.
In its wake, Yolanda has already left 3 people dead in Masbate, Zamboanga and Surigao del Sur, 7 injured and 145, 641 families affected in 581 evacuation centers, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRMMC).

The two fatalities from Masbate and Surigao del Sur were eletrocuted after toppled electric posts fell on the, while one died in Zamboanga after he was struck by lightning, NDRMMC reported.  - Yahoo

I just saw an update on Yahoo, that over a hundred are feared dead in Tacloban City. Not three. Article regarding this here: http://ph.news.yahoo.com/philippines-says-least-100-dead-typhoon-haiyan-014133996.html.

Philippines is lucky enough to survive through this turmoil. We were given time to get ready. That was our luck, I guess. Thanks to PAG-ASA for the foretold warning.

Now, here are some heart-breaking photos of Yolanda.

My prayers are with the Philippines. We have encountered destruction after destruction because of the Pacific Rim. First the earthquake, next was the Tornado that hit Cebu, and now this. Philippines is a strong country. I know my fellow countrymen won't give up hope despite all the natural disasters we have encountered and will stand up as a country once again.

MS.

P.S. We are still experiencing a black out in my area. So I was able to blog about this at work since the power's out since yesterday morning up until now in my place. I hope the electricity will be back anytime soon. I saw a toppled electricity post on my way to work and I'm pretty sure that was the reason for the black out. I hope the VECO will be able to fix it within this day. :(

Keep safe everyone.

{ Shine Bright Like a Starr}

From what I mentioned earlier from my previous blog post about me having a very sexy thing for portraits, today's feature would be on my second photography project.

BTS of this blog will follow. Didn't take a lot of BTS pictures on this one. Mac was too busy shopping online. Lol! Anyway, this was just a small shoot - y'know, just to practice myself.

I edited and published the photos a week later after the shoot. There are two reasons for the delay. First, I wasn't feeling well the day after the said shoot and three days later, I was brought to the nearest hospital's emergency room. Second, I didn't have any editing programs that would read a RAW file. And after days and days of searching the wonders of Google, I finally found one.

Now, without further delay, here is my second photography project. In short, my prography (project photography). Lol! Forgive my neologism. It's hitting up again.

I amazed myself on this one. How did I manage to edit this so professionally? Lol!

I have a sucker's talent at editing photos. Ugh! I need to improve. I need to do more shoots. I am currently saving up for another camera body and some portrait lenses and I really want someone to teach me the basics of photo-editing. Photoshop is such a complicated and sophisticated program. Note: Just so you know, I didn't use Adobe Photoshop for editing these photos nor did I use Lightroom.

Gave this blog the title of " Shine Bright Like A Starr" because Starr was, well, so bright at that time. Haha. She has this very cute laughter that makes you want to cuddle her and the way she was emitting her yellow aura was beyond giddy. ( Yes, people. I can see auras). And what I love about her was that no matter how tired she was for putting up with this project of mine, she still had the energy to continue. Thanks Starr. xoxo

P.S. Super Typhoon Yolanda is heading its way to the Philippines. Weather is dark, cold and cloudy. I hope everything will be okay. Please help us pray for the passing of Yolanda. Everyone, keep safe!
