Pieces of Summer ( Part 2)

From a sore throat and a dry cough to a high fever and asthma attacks, this is getting out of hand. I am sick. So sick. I can't even open my eyes properly as I am blogging this now. Body malaise all over. On a hot summer day, I am getting chills. This is not good at all. I am craving for some coconut juice and a dozen of doughnuts. If you would be kind enough to bring me those, I am forever in your debt.
Since it's already April ( summer months are April and May in the Philippines), the scorching humid heat is now here. And what's best to fight against this heat is to de-stress yourself in cool activities. Cool activities such as going to the beach, eating halo-halo ( a famous Filipino dessert known for keeping you cool during summer), going to cold places like the mountains, aircon on full blast mode, lie on the cold floor ( This. Is. Totally. Me.), go window shopping and etc. There are LOTS. And it's up to you to decide which you want to do among hundreds of alternatives.

One alternative known to Filipinos is to keep your clothes light and loose. Wearing dark colored clothes make you feel hot inside even more. So it is recommended to wear light-colored clothes during summer. Preferably pastel colors and white.

Don't you agree with me? Jen does.

I gave the two posts the title " Pieces of Summer" because...Well, just because. Lol! Kidding aside, the main reason why I gave them this title is that we usually make many unforgettable memories during summer. Those memories I referred as "pieces". As we join those pieces together, it'd become one unforgettable memory that makes summer summer.  Each of us will have that one special occasion, event, happening, opportunity etc. that will only happen during this time of the year. If you don't believe me, wait for it. Summer's just getting started. ;)

How about you? How's summer starting out for you?
