Mac and I celebrated Valentines Day like all couples would. Go out, fight against traffic, eat dinner together, appreciate all the things that happened, say " I love you" multiple times and so on. The list continues on. As a warning, this is a cheesy post. So for those who aren't interested in the love affair of others, you may close the browser now. As you continue reading this, remember; you have been warned.
The prior week, I had noticed that Mac was always sleepy. He'd have headaches, stomachaches, colds etc. like his immune system had gotten weak. I asked him what made him sleep so late and he'd say that he was making some reports ( work-related) and had to sleep at one in the morning to finish it every night. So I thought to myself: " Eventually, his report will be finished and he will be able to sleep normally after".
... and what I didn't know that he was making something for me.
We met up in Ayala on Valentines Day and he was bringing something that was clearly handmade. It was big and of course, I was surprised. On top of that, with it was a frog origami. ( certified frog lover here)
He told me to unfold the frog origami first ( Truth to be told, I had a hard time analyzing how to unfold parts without tearing it) before opening the present. As I opened it and read what was inside, it made my heart go AWWWEEEE <3
I carefully opened the present. Excitement and anxiety overwhelmed me at the same time. As I opened it . . .
Inside were four roses. And beside it were 11 frog origamis. They were carefully arranged inside. I was so moved. It must have taken a lot of his time just to make these origamis. I giggled and blushed; just thinking how unique and cute it was. Just thinking back where he would sleep at one in the morning just to make 2-3 origamis just melts my heart. His efforts and the time it took to make these were beyond romantic.
It sure moved me.
But enough of all this love ( cheesy! cheesy alert! ), let's go to what I was wearing on Vday! We were required to wear red at work so it was a perfect time to be so bold. I took ( borrow muhahaha) my brother's red polo out from the closet and decided to be corporate on VDay. Since there will be red everywhere ( because it's the color for Vday), I decided to mix some modern colors onto the ensemble. I wore a short denim skirt and some black tights for a bit of formality. The tights made my legs look slim and tall ( a dream come true) and everyone was looking at me from head to toe. I know it's unusual in the Philippines to see someone wearing tights especially with a tropical weather like ours, but VDay only comes once a year, so I just let it go. We were also lucky that we got to listen to wonderful love songs from a live band. It made our VDay complete.
Fabrice made a cameo
And of course, photos taken by my Valentine, Mark Villamor.
How about you? How did you spend your Valentines Day with your loved ones?
