New job, new glasses, new surroundings, new friends, new experiences, new everything! Whew! Time for a breather! I wasn't expecting them to come all at once! Don't get me wrong, but I'm hyped! I had the first-day work jitters and I wasn't so sure what to do. I was introduced to everyone in a conference room so it was such an impromptu. The typical " Hello everyone. I'm Maureen." made me feel like a little girl on her first day of school. Except in this case, I don't get a "Hi Maureen" in slow motion, but a mature and fast "Welcome" instead.
Time doesn't wait, I would think to myself on certain days. It definitely doesn't wait for anyone. It goes on and it doesn't stop. It is you who has to cope up and move on. Time is such an intangible thing. You remember your precious memories back in your previous company with your friends and colleagues and the next thing you know, bam! Unfamiliar faces are all around you. A new horizon is there, and you are there to welcome it.
