Banoffee Float

Have you ever heard of " Banoffee"? Banoffee is "banana" and "tofee" ( made from boiled condensed milk) combined. There are lots of versions of it online that you definitely have to try. Some are pies, cakes, and many more.

I, on the other hand, wanted to beat the hot summer with a cool recipe. As we are living in a tropical country, it's a given that bananas are abundant ( this recipe uses lots of it). And what's even cooler is that Guada and I are going to teach you how to make your very own Banoffee Float.

Well, to be honest, it's like making Mango Float. You substitute mangoes with bananas instead. The only difference is, that this recipe needs toffee. And thus, without further ado, let's start!

Ingredients

3 Cartons of All Purpose Cream
2 Cans of Condensed Milk
Graham Crackers
Bananas

Remember, the amount of ingredients depends on how much you want to make.

1.) First and foremost, get one can of condensed milk and set aside. Using a pot, boil water. Strip the condensed milk from its paper wrapping. Wait for water to boil. DO NOT OPEN the can. When water starts to boil, gently place it into the boiling water, Let it boil for one hour.

2.) Pour the 3 cartons of All Purpose Cream onto a bowl and whisk well until it becomes thick and full. For best results, refrigerate the All Purpose Cream prior making.

3.) Cut bananas into pieces. Set aside.

4.) Open the remaining can of condensed milk and pour 1/4 into cream mixture. Mix well.

5.) After an hour, get back to the boiling condensed milk. Turn off stove and carefully remove the can from the water. Let it cool. Open the can. The condensed milk should be light brown and should look like the photo above.

6.) Pour a layer of cream mixture onto a plastic container.

7.) Using a tablespoon, scoop toffee and pour on top of cream layer.

8.) Put a layer of graham crackers on top.

9.) Pour a layer of cream mixture on top of graham crackers.

10.) Spread bananas on top.

11.) Pour toffee. And repeat steps 6,7,8,9 and 10 until you reach a minimum of 3 layers.

12.)  On the top most layer, sprinkle with graham crackers or crumbs as a finishing touch. Put it in the freezer and let it chill for 3-4 hours.

And there you have it, your very own Banoffee Float. We made a total of 5 tupperwares with the amount of ingredients we were using. I would like to thank Guada for introducing me this recipe and for helping and teaching me the what-tos and how-tos. And also, for being my hand model.  I've got a lot of good feedback from my friends and family.

Happy Eating Ya'll!
