Bon Odori 2017

We just celebrated Mark's birthday on the 22nd, just a few days after our wedding. We were already celebrating firsts fresh from the altar, and now, it was our first Bon Odori together, also a few days after his birthday. Haha. I can't believe it has been exactly two weeks since we said our vows. God has been so good to us both and I want to thank Him from the bottom of my heart.

Spent Bon Odori 2017 with a good friend, Mary; my husband, Mark; and his family (who went home early because they had to catch a ship by 9 P.M. due for Bohol). Usually, Mark and I would wander off aimlessly from stalls to stalls, not realizing that that alone is bad for the wallet. But this year's Bon Odori was ecstatic. For the first time ever, we pretty much sat the whole festival out, watching and enjoying those beautiful presentations up on stage (we were sitting up front). We ate ramen for dinner as we enjoyed the cosplay skits, fire dances, and taiko performances that were out of this world. Aaaah~ Matsuris are definitely the best. We met friends and reunited with old ones. The organizers of this said event definitely did a good job. And of course, I shall not let Bon Odori pass without buying their delicious traditional candy apple (りんごあめ).

Thank you, friends, for making the whole experience worthwhile. ♥

I must admit that this was delicious. Php 80.00 for two sticks. I'm a sucker for bacon.
